This mountain bike adventure from Pokhara to Kathmandu is an incredible way to explore the heart of the Himalayan countryside on trails seldom visited by Westerners.

There are a maze of remote village paths from Pokhara to Kathmandu. With the stunning back drops of Annapurna and Machhapuchre (Fishtail), steep terraced rice paddies, refreshing mountain forests and swirling rivers, interspersed with rural villages where life continues as it did 100 years ago, this is a mountain bikers dream.

You ride on these wild and challenging trails through some of the most stunning scenic and cultural landscapes in the world. We ride eastwards, via the Marsyangdi and Trishuli valleys and the ridge-top town of Gorkha. You will have a breathtaking panorama of Himalayan peaks from Kakani and if you like downhill you won’t be disappointed as we ride through the Shivapuri National Park and on to Nagarkot where there are stunning views of the Himalayas including Mt Everest.

It is the diversity and uniqueness of this off road adventure that makes it so superb. Stunning scenery, great riding, and the friendliness of the local people make this an unforgettable experience.

BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival and transfer to hote. If time allows then some exploring and shopping.
Day 02: Free Day or 1/2 day Enfield motor bike tour of Kathmandu.
Day 03: Flight transfer to Pokhara and half day ride around 15km. (hotel)
Day 04: Bike Pokhara to Kalsti via Bhorletaar. 65km (camping)
Day 05: Bike Kalsti to Bandipur via Damauli and Sakaura. 50km (camp)
Day 06: Bike Bandipur to Gorkha. (guest house or camp)
Dat 07: Rest Day and exploring.
Day 08: Bike Gorkha to Gol Bhanjyang. 50km (camp)
Day 09: Bike Gol Bhanjyang to Nuwakot. 58km (camp)
Day 10: Bike Nuwakot to Nagi Gompa 54km (Camp)
Day 11: Bike Nagi Gompa to Nagarkot. (hotel)
Day 12: Bike Nagarkot to Kathmandu.
Day 13: Short morning ride, Everest flight or free and fly home evening.
